There is always talk going on about how smiling is “good” (what a vague word eh?). It’s good for the body (chemically, as well as physically), good for the soul (the chemicals released make you feel happy), and positive socially (people will think you lead a fruitful, satisfying life).

One benefit that we forget to think about in the long run is the formation of wrinkles.

Let’s take a step back. Think about a very old person that you know. Visualize him/her. Chances are, you will get either a positive, or negative feeling by just visualizing that person. The reason is wrinkles. If a person is a legitimately nice person, he will laugh/smile more than he does the opposite. Doing so will cause the formation of his wrinkles to form “upward” almost like a permanent smile. Making him look (semi-permanently) happy.

On the other hand, a “bad” person will have the opposite happen to them. They will have their wrinkles shaped “downwards,” into a semi-permanent scowl (a Witch anyone?).

Just some things to think about. (Bur remember, I don’t really know what I’m talking about).
